Anxiety, depression, codependency, lack of self-esteem, and self-love or relationship issues. Do any of these apply to you?

We don’t know how we get here but at some point in our lives, we wake up and wonder, “how did I get here?” “Where did I go wrong?” We may have everything we thought we wanted and would make us happy but still we wonder, “what happened to my marriage?” “How do I get myself back?” “Who am I, anyway?”

“Why do I feel so sad, so empty inside?”

We try counseling, medication, and other methods, maybe even a glass of wine to numb the pain, but nothing works for long.

When you are ready for lasting growth and true emotional balance it’s time to sit in The Adult Chair.

Bless you Michelle! So many things have turned around since I saw you the other day! Tapping into my child created a huge shift and has helped me make a lot of positive shifts in several aspects of my life. The domino effect of this work is life changing! Love and appreciation for you. Want to get back in and see you to keep this momentum up. Mary S.

What does it feel like to sit in the adult chair? In the adult chair, we live in the present moment with compassion. We speak in truth and fact. We recognize the masks we wear to gain acceptance from others and know how to remove and live without them. We are able to let our feelings flow through ourselves, free of the drive to numb them. We are able to respond versus react. We are full of acceptance and love and know how to take care of ourselves with clear boundaries.

In the adult chair, we have amazing self-care.

We are all products of our environment. For most of us, our formative models for emotional functioning early on were our parents. But our parents were likely poor models of emotional health and balance, leaving us effectively stunted in our adolescent phase — our adolescent chair — even as adults. Don’t worry, you’re not alone: only about 3% of the population was raised with true healthy parenting.

Knowing this, our work begins by finding your healthy and authentic adult chair. It is a process of discovery, adaptation, and emotional history as you come to terms with your present day behaviors and reactions that belong to your adolescent self. Get ready to meet the adult you.

The good news is that this is a perfectly teachable concept. Believe it or not, we can re-parent ourselves. And it doesn’t take years and years to do it. This is the foundation for lasting change.

My holistic approach blends traditional counseling with life coaching and alternative healing techniques including: Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Psychological Kinesiology (PSYCH-K), Brainspotting (similar to EMDR — Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), chakra balancing, Reiki healing, Post Induction Therapy, Somatic Experiencing (SE), along with meditation and breathing techniques.

We cannot heal our self if we do not know ourselves.
